Job Description
Senior PCTechnicians are responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting andrepairing personal computer systems, hardware, software, computer peripherals,and AV equipment. Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. Mayalso mentor or train other Desktop Support. Senior PC Technicians needexcellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensiveexperience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems andnetwork connectivity. This position mustbe customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolvingproblems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Senior PC Techniciansmay be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR andGray). This position may supervise PCTechnician support teams.
Typicalduties include:
* Installing,configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices andperipherals, such as printers
* Installingand configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
* Troubleshootand resolve complex issues and work with other teams to identify root cause andresolution
* Multipledevice configuration including personal device support and configuration
* Removingold equipment and performing data migration to new machines
* Experiencein implementation and administration of infrastructure services like FTP, IIS,DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
* Analyzesuser needs for business applications. Researches alternatives and proposessolutions. Coordinates hardware and software system installation and ensuresspecifications are met
* Createand maintain thorough documentation for all desktop solutions andtroubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge base
* Workingwith hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery andensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
* Analyzingand making recommendations for hardware and software standardization

* Associatedegree from two-year College or university. Significant relevant experiencewill be considered in lieu of formal education.

* DoDD8570.01-M IAT II or higher

* Atleast five years of previous experience working as a PC Technician.

WorkEnvironment
* Workwill be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be acubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dimlighting).
* Workassignments vary based on client requirements.
* Workmay include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austereconditions
* Outsidework may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold,icy and windy climates.
PhysicalRequirements
* Sittingat desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting andcarrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sittingwhile on PC/laptop or phone.
* Mayrequire climbing, working at heights and in small confined spaces such as underraised floors, inside closets and server racks. Must be able to sit, stoop,kneel or crouch for long periods of time. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standardoffice environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.

Attendance

* Continentaland Oversees travel may be required. Itis important to maintain a current passport.

Failure toobtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification forthis position and could result in termination.
