Description
The Virtual Training Developer will work with Government project leads and be responsible for designing, developing and implementing virtual/on-line learning requirements. They will also recommend learning solutions and learning modalities based on analysis of learning goals, organizational and technological constraints, and budget and schedule considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
* Masters degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Educational Technology or Curriculum Development, and ten (10) years of experience within the last fourteen (14) in instructional systems design or adult education and training development is required.
* **In lieu of the Masters degree, a Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Educational Technology or Curriculum Development, with an additional two (2) years of instructional systems design or adult education and training development experience for a total of twelve (12) years within the last sixteen (16) years.
* Develop conceptual documents and other documentation to support learning solutions.
* Develop innovative formative and summative evaluation tools, learning solution documentation (e.g., storyboards, job aids, design plan documents), and documentation regarding requirements.
* Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and document concepts, processes, work tasks, and related subject matter.
* Draft scripts, narration, text and other content for learning solutions.
* Develop scenario driven learning experiences, complex simulations or games, interactive techniques to increase engagement, and exploratory learning solutions.
* Conduct research on current pedagogy and related fields.
* Provide lifecycle support recommendations and documentation for learning solutions.
* Develop learning modules using COTS and GOTS software (e.g.: MS Office Suite, Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Blackboard, Saba, KZO).
* Incorporate media components (e.g., videos, images, animations or interactive elements) into learning products (e.g., traditional classroom, synchronous and asynchronous online training, web based training, games and simulations, structured on-the-job training, intelligent tutoring systems, job aids, testing, instructional videos).
* Prepare and integrate course materials into Virtual Learning applications and tools.

Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.
Work Environment
Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).
Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.
Attendance
Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).
Other Essential Functions
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
