Job Summary:  
In accordance with Greenlee Tools, Inc. objectives, policies, directives, and controls, this position is responsible for the coordination of projects within Demand Management (or the Supply Chain) ensuring a successful on time and on budget delivery for projects of varying sizes. The Demand Analyst builds and coordinates the appropriate business teams in order to manage projects that will deliver significant business value. In addition, this position is accountable for the creation and maintenance of product demand history and product forecast through the manipulation of statistical models and various factors; identifies and resolves forecast to sale/demand variances; and prepares related management reports and communicates to the manufacturing sites and purchasing department regarding products to produce or purchase, based on business need forecasts. 
Organizational Relationships:
This position, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, communicates frequently with all levels of management and various departments, including Marketing/Channel Management, Sales, Product Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Responsibilities:
  * Gathers forecast information from Sales, Marketing/Channel Management, Finance, Product Management, Materials Management, and Supply Chain (key stakeholders), and coordinates with demand history to develop the product forecasts. Validates forecast data using statistical information. Communicates the forecast and forecast analysis results to the product supply chain partners.
  * Develops cost benefit analyses for demand planning activities, communicates to executive team, creates and reports project status utilizing a dashboard, allocates resources, defines project governance policies and manages the financial concerns.
  * Lead complex business process improvements and technology implementations supporting demand planning and inventory management.
  * Develop and document standardized demand planning and inventory flow processes.
  * Develops and communicates business cases to support recommendations for change to current business practices and processes and develops controls to monitor the progress associated with implementation of recommended changes.
  * Leads process improvement teams and directs timely completion of projects that support critical goals and customer satisfaction requirements.
  * Maintains product forecasts by SKU and/or product categories and ensures the accuracy of the forecasting system database. Develops strategies for assigned product lines, utilizing current systems that aid on-time delivery to customers.
  * Analyzes forecast results to determine forecast accuracy; performs root cause analysis to determine next steps for continuous improvement of inputs, review forecast methodologies and perform statistical manipulation of forecast models to support weekly forecast development.
  * Reviews and adjusts statistical models and various factors that drive forecast development for determined SKUs. Determines the need for and adjusts forecasts demands, updates current MRP system files and ensures process regeneration, to assure timely manufacture or purchase of products.
  * Formulates simulation models or mathematical forecast demands to improve accuracy of forecasting by way of current MRP system. May design experimental forecast models.
  * Analyzes, plans, designs, and prepares forecast methodology for scheduling the purchase and manufacture of products.
  * Maintains, enhances or recommends implementation of new technologies to manage the demand forecasting process.
  * Lead monthly discussions with key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in the SIOP process. Information gathered, analyzed and reviewed each month with Executive Leadership Team for strategic business decisions regarding long-term (3  12 months) planning and key stakeholders for consensus on short-term (1  3 months) demand plan.
  * Prepare detailed analysis and drive additional discussions with stakeholders to examine to spikes, significant changes, etc. to reach solution/correction action.
  * Manage key customer and/or product roll-outs including communication of information to Supply Chain and results analysis.
  * Serves as key liaison between key stakeholders defined above and Integrated Supply Chain to develop and maintain a weekly demand history and build a 12-month forecast projection.
  * Coordinate and effectively communicate with all project resources and teams.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Company Business Conduct Guidelines
Education and Experience:
  * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement or related discipline or 3-5+ years equivalent experience.
  * Three to five years in product forecasting, production planning or inventory control required. Must have a thorough understanding of materials/ production control and inventory management principles. 
  * Strong project management and team leadership skills with the ability to develop strong support for change with all levels of internal and external organizations. 
  * Related management information system knowledge, preferably SAP and Demand Solutions. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  * Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  * Ability to communicate and present critical information to all levels of employees and customers to achieve assigned objectives. Requires well developed interpersonal skills.
  * Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, as well as exercise of independent judgement.
