If you are a Technician professional looking for a new opportunity to build your career, our location in Sidney, OH has a new opportunity for you! As a Mechanical Technician, you will perform non-routine and complex assignments involving Performance and Unit Testing in the Product Evaluation Labs. You will communicate effectively to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding projects, priorities, changes and problems. You will also use your excellent initiative and judgment to improve work flow, equipment utilization and efficiency of the department.

AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (2ND SHIFT), YOU WILL:

* Set up, test and evaluate compressors with minimal supervision
* Work from operational, manual and verbal instructions
* Operate laboratory testing equipment with a focus on Performance and Unit test stands
* Adhere to all corporate and laboratory safety standards and policies
* Have advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Exhibit advanced knowledge of compressors, systems, electrical power and associated lab equipment
* Have strong written and verbal communication skills
* Have excellent organizational skills
* Work with manipulation of average to heavy weights (up to 50 lbs.), standing for extended periods of time, use of hand tools and brazing equipment
* Work with, train, and mentor other technicians in a team environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

* Associates Degree (Mechanical Engineering or HVAC) plus 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience with compressor systems used in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning applications

* Excellent Mechanical, HVAC, electrical or electronic skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent computer skills

* Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

* Associates Degree (Mechanical Engineering or HVAC) plus 3 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience setting up and supporting large multi-faceted complex projects impacting the company

About our Location

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
