If you are a Calibration & Maintenance Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our McKinney, Texas site you will provide support for the Pressure Management business unit on Product Testing and Evaluation (T&E) and Research and Development (R&D) projects. You would be responsible for performing function specific job activities to support T&E, R&D, or other functional areas. You will be responsible for completing your workload in a timely manner and providing engineering staff with comprehensive results of tests conducted.

As a Calibration & Maintenance Technician you will

Maintain the calibration system to ensure compliance with ISO requirements which includes isolating uncalibrated or past-due gauges, performing verifications and calibrations on any internally calibrated devices.

Coordinate external calibrations with preferred vendors, and log events and calibrations in the gauge management software platform.

Coordinate any preventative and unplanned maintenance of laboratory equipment with preferred maintenance vendors such as compressor systems, pump systems, environmental chambers, and additive manufacturing machinery.

Provide support for the metrology laboratory by performing measurements with various devices including the CMM, ROMER arm, NEX, and spring tester.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

High regard for safety in workplace and laboratory environments.

High school diploma or equivalent.

High mechanical aptitude.

Strong organizational skills a must.

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form with engineers and other staff.

Interpersonal skills to allow one to work with a wide range of individuals at all levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent.
