The Baylor Scott & White Health Transplant Financial Review Representative verifies transplant coverage and other medical benefits and acquires necessary referrals and authorizations for transplant patients. Our Transplant Financial Review Rep determines approvals of patient evaluations, obtains medical records and forwards to insurance companies for transplant approval, and monitors transplant patients to update insurance documentation, attending physicians, authorizations, and providers.
In addition, the Transplant Financial Review Representative coordinates outpatient registration of transplant patient, assist patients with questions concerning insurance and other financial issues, and adjusts charges of organ acquisitions/work-up paid by Medicare based on Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA) guidelines for annual cost report analysis and confirms primary Medicare coverage.
The ideal candidate for the Transplant Financial Review Rep role be must be compassionate and have excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
