Application Development Manager Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:

Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Manager in Los Angeles, CA to oversee complex project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. S/he will perform the following duties: architect and develop application strategy & Policy in line with the business strategy; develop process requiring advanced understanding of project scope, dependencies, and use of diversified knowledge of technical practices to determine the work breakdown structure; design, implement and deploy BI solutions (applications and technologies which are used to acquire, transform, model, analyze and report information) for end-to-end analytics tools and other related BI technologies establish project standards and procedures, ensure execution of a communication plan, establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership, monitor service levels for the area of responsibility; serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of projects and monitor progress to assure deadlines are met and successful delivery of project objectives; build and leverage reusable code and libraries using Informatica Power Center, Unix scripts for future use; lead code and quality management reviews; partner with the testing team to ensure applications/components are fully functional; oversee and fix any defects or performance problems discovered in testing; consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess technology needs and requirements; schedule, assign and track signoffs for deliverables owned by the team and validate the participation of appropriate contributors to each deliverable; identify continuous improvement and productivity improvement opportunities maximize reuse, minimize redundancy, streamline, drive one-to-many approach; proactively maintain project risks and update them on a regular basis to the client and Accenture Leadership; conduct weekly meetings with team to ensure the operations are up and running as per timelines; ensure maintenance activities are in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or other business requirements; present periodic dashboard reports on the current program, future opportunities and client issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelors degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in related IT positions. The applicant must also have 5 years of professional experience in Application Development & Application Maintenance to build and maintain Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse applications; 4 years of experience with Data Integration or ETL technologies such as Informatica, Microsoft SSIS or Datastage to extract, transform and load data; and 4 years of experience with BI or Reporting tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, SAS, or Qlik to build reporting solutions; and 3 years of experience with one or more database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, or analytics platforms such as SAS to build and maintain data warehouse solutions.
