Duties: Act as part of the SAP Supply Chain Planning team, providing centralized business process and systems support and designing expertise to General Mills Supply Chain business partners globally. Provide important leadership in connecting supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) across IT and business teams to ensure that end-to-end processes align with business strategy. Develop expertise in supply chain planning solutions. Drive the design, development and implementation of future supply chain planning solutions from vendors like SAP, E20pen, Kinaxis, OM Partners and others. Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, supply chain and logistics activities. Leverage experience and expertise to identify opportunities for system and process improvements. Provide first class service and support of existing processes and systems. Advise business partners engaged in merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects. Connect with IT and business peers to ensure end-to-end solution optimization. Develop and implement technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices. Provide project management services, including the provision and analysis of technical data. Perform supply chain cost analysis and develop component studies. Support the startup processes of new lines, plants, contract manufacturers, and customer service facilities. Stay informed of supply chain and logistics technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve supply chain and logistics processes.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Computer & Information Science (CIS), Computer Applications, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a SAP APO implementation and supply chain optimization-related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept Master's degree in Computer & Information Science (CIS), Computer Applications, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, or related field and three years of experience in SAP APO implementation and supply chain optimization-related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Some travel (less than 25%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally. May telecommute from home on occasion. Position requires 1 year of experience in each of the following: 1) Designing, implementing and integrating SAP supply chain production, network, scheduling and material requirements planning; 2) Designing and implementing SNP and deployment optimizers; 3) Building interfaces with SAP and other manufacturing systems via idocs; 4) Conducting APO technical, functional, and troubleshooting analysis; and, 5) ERP tool Peoplesoft, Java, .Net, C and C++ technologies.
