The Project Administrator position will be focused on providing administrative support to R&Ds New Product Development (NPD) teams. This position, working under the supervision of a Program/Project Manager will help with the administrative tasks associated with project management including preparing/maintaining project plans, maintaining budget documents/spreadsheets, tracking and ordering parts and supplies, and coordinating project meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leads material compression events throughout the development life cycle to assure supply chains are developed and transitioned to purchasing for all new part numbers.
* Responsible for negotiating and ordering parts for breadboard, model, prototype and some pilot parts as part of the New Product Implementation process.
* Responsible for supporting purchasing in developing and coordinating supply chains for all new activated parts and existing parts with significant volume changes.
* Create part numbers, bill of material (BOMs), kit-to-orders, spec sheets, ECOs and other documentation as required for the release and activation of new components, assemblies and products.
* Interfaces with manufacturing planners and facilitators to plan and implement, model and prototype build cycles.
* Participates in technical documentation design reviews, PDRs, CDRs, manufacturing readiness reviews.
* Supports project leaders in tracking spending (capital, resource, accounting, project inventory), internal orders and marketing support. Maintains Visual Project Management (VPM) board and coordinates schedule. Drafts Capital Appropriate Request for review.
* Develops and maintains detailed actions plans for coordinating sustaining projects.
* Provides administrative support for development efforts by team members at different company facilities for sustaining projects typically less than 5 months. Also provides support for projects and programs that lead to product innovation, development, design and release to manufacturing.
* Supports development and maintenance of programs that lead to product conception, definition, design, and release to manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate is a talented professional who can develop talent, foster innovation and deliver results.
* BS or BA in Engineering or the physical sciences. 3-5 years of Project Management Administrator experience may substitute.
* Formal Project Management Certification or training preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience supporting new product development or implementation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Basic understanding of products and processes, including design, manufacturing, and market use of products.
* Basic knowledge of new product development methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and Word; database entry and management and project scheduling tools.

The salary range for this role is $55k to $59k annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
