What you'll do...

Introduction

Its exciting time to join our Walmart journey. We are seeking a Software Engineer III for a key position on Walmarts continued initiative for Last Mile Delivery. Last Mile Delivery is the platform that powers Walmarts Grocery and Same Day Delivery propositions. Last Mile Delivery is expected to grow multiple times over in the next few years. In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology. You will work on projects of high visibility across the organization while working with other engineers across geographies.

What youll bring

* 3+ years of working experience in Java/J2EE
* Built microservices or APIs

Youll sweep us off our feet if you

* Have experience with Kafka or other high volume-low latency messaging infrastructure
* Have experience with Azure Cloud Stack or other cloud stacks
* Have the knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing
* Are curious and have the desire to learn

What youll do

* Work in small to medium-sized projects; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing clean, testable, maintainable code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
* Collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; identifying areas of opportunity; interpreting information and identifying a solution; ensuring solution is sustainable across implementation and use; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
* Troubleshoot business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information, collaborating with cross functional support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; directing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation.
