Job Description
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate should work well with large amounts of data, have the ability to manage small projects independently, possess a solid understanding of technical systems, and understands the importance of meeting deadlines to support larger objectives. The candidate will take initiative to solve problems and support additional Manufacturing Engineering activities as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to focus on continuous improvement and sustainability of equipment and processes in the assembly and molding departments.
Primary Duties Include:
a. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for plant related engineering functions.
b. Drive improvement in all manufacturing processes using the ITW Toolbox.
c. Conduct ongoing analyses of products and processes to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
d. Assist in new product development and modifications and revisions to existing products
e. Coordinate and conduct validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
f. Lead/Participate in the coordination and implementation of capital projects (Project Management)
g. Investigate and install new methods, layouts, equipment and process analysis that improve overall operation of the plant.
h. Develop and implement work instructions and standardization of processes.
i. Troubleshoot processes which are prone to be frequent or major production problems.
j. Assists in the training of personnel
Assists in maintenance related issues.
Provides technical support to manufacturing, engineering, quality, marketing, customer service, and management as needed.
Possesses the ability to get along with co-workers, customers, and company visitors.
Arrives at work on time and complies with company attendance and tardiness policies.
Provides input in budget planning and timelines.
Maintains a clean work area and follows proper safety procedures.
Will participate in special projects assignments are required.
On-Call availability.
Perform all activities in a safe manner and follow all company established safety rules.
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations, along with other federal, state, and local regulations regarding environmental, industrial, and electrical mandates.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related science and at least 1 year of appropriate experience or five years of related experience
Ability to read and understand complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to carry out detailed, complex oral or written instructions
Ability to apply problem solving techniques to address complex issues
Must have good communication skills and excellent listening skills
Computer experience is preferred with knowledge of Microsoft office. AutoCAD or other drafting software experience is preferred
Novice electrical and mechanical knowledge needed
