The North America Applied Analytics team powers Nike Direct growth through analysis & optimization of the 365 consumer journey & digital platform experiences; orchestrates member-led product selection & lifecycle optimization; identifies member growth cohorts; maps inventory levels to cohort demand to mitigate sell-out risk and optimize inventory sell-thru; spearheads an always-on testing & experimentation offense across both stores and digital experiences; delivers Voice of the Consumer (VOC) feedback and foundational Customer Service Analytics through the consumer lens.

Were looking for a North America Product Merch and DSM Analytics Director. The continued success of our Digital business hinges on the ability of this role to lead a strategy to execute and deliver measurable insights and analytics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding consumer behaviours, enjoy working with data, and gifted at translating complex analytics into concise stories for the business. This role is ideal if you are motivated; comfortable working with ambiguity, and relish the opportunity to work cross functionally tackling complicated business problems. We are looking for someone with the desire to drive a mind shift into data driven thinking across the organization, as well as the ability to lead, develop, coach, and inspire other analysts around them.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Your day-to-day work will involve being a data detective and consumer advocate for our Digital Business. Youll partner with our digital leadership to deliver insights and recommendations on the best path to better serve our Nike Digital consumers and their evolving needs through the lense of merchandising product and planning. Typical tasks include:
* Maximizing member data to artfully orchestrate product selection and inventory levels to ensure we have the right product at the right time for our consumers
* Work upstream to influence buy reviews by using member cohort data to predict audience growth areas and outline future product-level demand associated with growth areas
* Developing new solutions and insights to empower the digital business organization into action and innovation
* You will also play a major role in building an end-to-end consumer view and deliver recommendations that optimize our ecosystem consumer journey spanning both online and offline.
Additionally, will deliver solutions and education that will provide self-service analytics; to drive scalable and sustainable impact from the organizations analytical capabilities.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will sit within the centralized Analytics & Insights function and serve as the subject matter authority, reporting to the Sr. Director of North America Digital Applied Analytics. Youll collaborate with Digital Merchandising and DSM leaders, to help that team build, deliver, & optimize a best-in-class end to end experience for Nike consumers. Youll also partner closely with cross-functional analytics team to create and implement scalable insights to drive consumer engagement and growth in North America.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, statistics, computer science, econometrics, applied math, or a quantitative behavioral sciences field preferred OR two additional years experience in lieu of a degree
* Minimum 8+years of relevant professional experience
* Proficiency in SQL or similar experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets required
* Ability to demystify measurement and translate data to consumable, relatable stories
* Proven track record collaborate and work with non-Analytics partners in a fast paced environment
* Strong communication and influencing skills in order to drive the consumers needs and ensure an independent and unbiased voice in all conversations.
* Ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment
