Job Description

Microsoft is a leader in the design of world class entertainment devices. We are looking for a senior level design engineer to work in the dynamic Microsoft Silicon team, working on custom and semi-custom ASICs.

You will be part of the Security IP design team, creating IP that is used to help secure the silicon across many market segments including the cloud and at the edge.

You will be responsible for all facets of design from working on architecture of features, microarchitecture of IP blocks, RTL design, and synthesis.

Throughout the program you will be interacting with various teams to leverage and collaborate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience

(must have one of the following):

Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field along with 3+ years technical engineering experience in ASIC design.

Or

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field along with 6+ years technical engineering experience in ASIC design.

Or

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field along with 8+ years technical engineering experience in ASIC design.

Or

11+ years technical engineering experience in ASIC design.

Additional Minimum Requirements

11+ years of successful SoC or IP designs in complex ASICs in leading-edge technology.

11+ years' experience in digital design including specification development, CDC, LINT and RTL coding in Verilog/System Verilog.

2+ years' experience in one or more industry standard bus fabric interfaces such as AMBA, PCIe, etc. protocols.

0 - 5% expected domestic/international combined.

Preferred Qualifications:

Great organization, multitasking and ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively using a small project team.

Team player with good communication skills and a growth mind set.

Knowledge of Cryptography Standards like AES, SHA, Elliptic Curve Cryptography is a plus.

Knowledge of reviewing Synthesis constraints and timing reports is preferred.

Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills preferred.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
