Wythe County Community Hospital
Under the direction of the nursing director or other supervisor, assumes responsibility for providing patient care for his/her specified department/shift, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Works in collaboration with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for assigned patients. The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status. He/she must interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age and specific needs and to provide care in accordance with physician orders, the Joint Commission standards, OSHA regulations, nursing and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
1. Compact Licensure as an RN or eligibilityto sit for NCCLEX exam.
2. Prefer one year of experienceworking on a medical-surgical care unit/ telemetry unit.
3. BCLS certification required within30 days of date of hire.
4. ACLS, PALS Certifications required withinone year from date of hire.
5. Abilityto accept regular on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts whenacuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to facility within 60 minutes ofnotification. This status will be determinedby Department Director, Supervisor, Clinical Team Lead/Charge Nurse or HouseSupervisor.

Our Health Support Center (HSC), in Brentwood, Tennessee, has subject matter expertise in every area of healthcare operations and provider services. The HSC is organized to bring resources to bear across the continuum of care, from before a patient accesses healthcare services to after they are sent home, while keeping quality and compliance at the center.
On a daily basis, our group leaders and subject matter experts are working with our local markets to help develop and implement the right strategies that ensure healthcare thrives in their communities.
