Ennis Regional Medical Center
Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to patient. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating standard evidence based practice framework models. Provides & supports functional direction through effective Leadership & Quality Improvement principles to ensure quality patient care & employee satisfaction. Ensures optimal patient care is delivered according to established standards of nursing care provided during all phases of nursing process. Collaborates with Director, Attending Physicians, Emergency Physicians, & other departments to develop & implement protocols & procedures. Directs, facilitates, & evaluates orientation of new staff & preceptor program. Develops educational programs for purpose of providing theoretical & technical education & training for staff, to meet, exceed, or supplement knowledge/skills required for their position. Assist the Director to design & implement yearly competency evaluations of staff. Ensures programs complement & are consistent with Regional Standards. Fosters self-development & desire to participate in staff meetings. Participates in Hospital & Regional committees to improve patient care, contribute to staff development, & promote communication & consistency in practice.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent X Required
BS Preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
2 years experience in Med Surg and pediatrics preferred
2 years of experience as manager/supervisor or program development and training (preferred)
BLS required
ACLS within 6 months of hire
PALS within 6 months of hire
State of Texas current RN license
