As a Program Manager in Merchant Services, your responsibilities will be:
* Leading the planning, organization, and execution of cross-functional technology and business improvement projects and programs
* Creating detailed engineering team capacity/velocity planning views, understand the product roadmap, and work with product partners to prioritize product functionality within available engineering capacity
* Managing Project Managers within Merchant Services Core domains
* Managing and coordinating cross functional teams across the US and global business groups as needed in the delivery of product functionality
* Partnering with business owners, product owners, project managers, technology and finance to ensure completeness, accuracy, efficiency and timely delivery of Merchant Service projects
* Understanding Merchant Services business priorities, issues, challenges and requirements, and dependencies/impact to other areas, including key strategic initiatives
* Ensuring effective communications exist among executives, team members, and stakeholders
* Analyzing project risks & impacts; make relevant recommendations to product and technology executives to mitigate issues
* Demonstrating continuous improvement and customer-centric operational excellence
* Technology portfolio management:
* Supports the product domains with quarterly planning. Facilitate regular capacity planning meetings with tech leads and Area Product Owners to understand priorities, estimated effort, and targeted quarter for delivery
* Ensures engines/platforms maintain current delivery plan. Track and report on progress of quarterly portfolio initiatives with tech leads & backlog owners. Facilitate weekly engine meetings to review the portfolio, planned sprints against team velocity, and discuss risks/issues and impacts due to delays or spill over to future sprints. (Scrum of Scrums)
This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expert knowledge in all business processes across an entire line of business, as well expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines
* Understanding of global and line of business project and program management standards and methods
* Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution
* Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations
* Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm
* extensive experience in Project Management or equivalent industry experience preferably in finance/technology industry.
* PMP, CSM or equivalent preferred
* Proven experience in managing large scale IT projects in financial industry in agile framework.
* Proven experience working with senior management and executive teams;
* Demonstrated competence in leadership, team building, time management, organizational management, customer interface, and multiple stakeholder communications;
* Demonstrated written, oral, and personal skills that can bridge understandings between Business, IT and Customers;
