This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - - https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2020/10/nand-memory-news-q-a.pdf). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Product Engineer intern, you will be part of a world-class technical team driving integration and adoption of leading-edge technologies by tech giants and notable upstarts alike at SK Hynix.

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK Hynix.

You will be working with storage pathfinding team with a diverse skillset. Your responsibilities will be to deploy applications, develop scripts, automate and execute experiments, analyze experimental data, debug issues, and report results on Reference Storage Platform that uses DAOS software stack. You will also Expand existing plugins to support new features. You will gain experience about end to end storage cluster and its internals though this job role. Project involves working with hardware, software, network, and applications in a Linux environment. Team is fast paced and requires a flexible approach.

The ideal candidate should demonstrated the following behavioral traits:

This internship is for minimum 6 months Full time hours with starting around May 2021

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications stated below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experiences listed below are obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimal Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 6 months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following:

* Computer architecture

* Linux OS experience

* Programming/scripting languages: Shell, Python, C, C++

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge Storage devices
