GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Data Science Enterprise Architect will be working with various business/technology teams to understand the requirements, conceptualize a solution, and implement the idea into a POC. Applies existing ML techniques where suitable and possibly creating new ML algorithms as needed. Creates a ML strategy for the bank along with other architects. Helps guide the product teams to create an application architecture ensuring the implementation is following EA guidelines. Makes decisions on conceptual designs and complex technical architectural issues provided by other teams in the organization. Understand the current business processes and create innovative solutions for creating a futuristic vision for the firm. Coordinates with business/technology teams to create a unified architecture for the firm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify data opportunities and come up with innovative solutions applying AI/ML techniques to banking industry solutions
* Create new ML techniques and well versed with application of existing techniques
* Acts as a technical expert addressing problems related to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration
* Translate business needs into conceptual designs and do/enable quick POCs
* Responsible for producing architecture artifacts and deliverables. Lead and participate in architecture reviews in an iterative fashion to achieve optimal designs
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for new or less experienced team members

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Bachelors degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* 10+ years of experience in IT development background in high end systems design/implementation and 3+ years of experience as a data science specialist conceptualizing/architecting an idea into implementation
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and articulation skills
* Experience with ML tools like Python SciKit, Tensorflow is required
* Knowledge of a variety of ML techniques and their applicability for a situation (decision tree learning, clustering, artificial neural networks, etc)
* Experience with one or more Cloud AI Services Ex: Google Dialog Flow, IBM Watson etc.
* Must be well versed development of Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Security and Operations
* Experience with EA frameworks, Java/JEE type of environments, BPM, Cognitive Computing and Big Data (Hadoop, NoSQL) technologies is a big plus
* Experience with Banking industry, Cloud technologies and AWS certifications are a plus
* Effective written, verbal, presentation and listening skills and understanding of IT security best practices
