PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Lead the Outreach and Engagement Strategy efforts. Support the growth and awareness of appropriate programs in the respective Utility service territory. The CEM will also coordinate efforts with the Corporate Relations, Government and External Affairs and Customer Operations teams, aligning with goals and initiatives that are mission appropriate. Develop and enhance relationships with external stakeholders and internal clients. Manage efforts of the Community Outreach function to achieve expected outcomes. Ensure all related regulatory reporting requirements are met timely.

Establish annual milestones and assure the focus and attainment of business goals and objectives. Develop and maintain an environment that promotes diversity, accountability and fosters teamwork. Establish, promote and maintain a safe work environment. Responsible for the data required to meet needs for external regulatory reporting.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Lead, plan and execute Outreach and Engagement Strategy.

2. Plan and execute various outreach/promotional activities and Represent the company at outreach events to meet the needs of customers in order to increase awareness of programs. Educate customers and community partners on appropriate programs (and other efforts relevant to the audience such as workforce development opportunities).

3. Research current issues and trends in the low- income sector. Develop strategies and techniques for conducting company and community assessments to establish priorities that meet community needs and support companys business objectives.

4. Develop and enhance the relationship with external and internal clients in order to achieve the Community Engagement goals and initiatives.

5. Support other related corporate initiatives. such as corporate relations initiatives, including workforce development, racial justice, as required.

6. Provide data necessary for external Regulatory reporting.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or Finance
8 -10 years of external or related internal experience
Strong presentation/ public speaking skills
Advanced written and verbal skill set
Management skills required include adeptness in leadership, ability to direct professionals and budgeting

Preferred:

Knowledge of Universal Services programs
Qualifications

POSITION SCOPE

1.Create and oversee annual strategies to increase awareness of programs, along with measuring outcomes, on a monthly basis.

2.Responsible for managing the Sr. Community Outreach Specialist and other contract providers involved with the community outreach efforts.

3.Responsible for managing participation in Outreach Events.

4.Manage efforts to promote Exelon Utilities interest in supporting social justice and racial equity programs.

5.Coordinates with Communications for media outreach associated with promoting BGEs key programs and efforts.

6.Management of Community Advisory Council engagement and Newsletter.

7.Support Customer Operations to manage relationship with limited income agencies.

8.Attend relevant community engagement meetings and conferences.

9.Provide community engagement perspective integrated with Corporate Relations Community Partner strategies and related KPIs under Regulatory & External Affairs group.
