Become a Mail Operations Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will have overall management and oversight responsibility for Mailing Operations (staff of 25), including the $15M Postage Budget/Oversight and the Key Performance Indicators for Customer Bills Mailed on Time, at >99.8% within the Revenue Services Organization, Customer Billing Operations. This includes directly leading team of 23 individual contributors, managing the performance of the entire organization, setting the organizations goals and objectives, and determining staffing and resource needs of the overall operations including vendor support for various services and supplies.
In addition, evaluates and recommends new processes and provides direction for arising issues. You will develop, recommend, and implement processes to improve service levels, providing leadership, mentor and career development to staff.

* Develop and execute short- and long-term resource plans and strategies to support achievement of key performance targets.
* Ensure that day to day Operational processes are achieved.
* Collaborate closely with cross-organizational business partners and associated processes, timelines, resources, and budget.
* Lead the development, recommendation, and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure consistent application, achievement of service standards, service delivery improvements, efficient production operations, as well as compliance of regulatory, safety, and Sarbanes Oxley responsibilities.
* Anticipate, direct and communicate corrective actions/contingency plans for operations.
* Provide direction for unforeseen issues related to personnel, safety, vendors who provide services and supplies, production, equipment, contract management and compliance.
* Forecast resources and negotiates to obtain required resources.
* Inspire change, motivating, encouraging, and rewarding others to look for opportunities to challenge the status quo.
* Contract management and monitoring for fulfillment, vendor performance, invoice reconciliation, validation of charges, contract renewals and corrective actions for discrepancies.
* Serves as subject matter expert to management, project managers and managers across OUs i.e. AP, Payroll, IT. Develop plans and leads cross-functional teams to implement projects such as developing short- and long-range plans to upgrade Mailing Operations equipment to maintain state-of-the-art operations.
Qualifications
The essentials
* Five or more years of experience managing or leading a professional group, unit or team.
* Three years experience with operational processing and vendor management.
The preferred
* Three years of experience in the utility industry.
* Prior experience with mailing operations.
* Bachelor Degree or higher in applicable profession, business, or technical field.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. excel, word, power point).

* Mailing Operation Work Week is Tuesday Saturday, Manager may have to support Saturday Coverage.
