Description
International Logistics Analyst I supports the operational and systematic performance of Dick's Sporting Goods International Logistics service providers. The international logistics analyst plays a key role in the management, analysis and execution of driving on-time receipts inbound into Dick's Sporting Goods DCs. The analyst will partner with Dick's Sporting Goods 3PL daily to manage exceptions and ensure service provider SLA requirements are met and exceeded. The analyst will develop, manage and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly financial and ad hoc reporting, as well as complete service provider scorecards. The analyst must effectively work cross-functionally to communicate with internal partners on the Product Development and Merchandising teams, Information Technology group, and remotely with the Distribution Centers with the end goal of optimizing shipments in the most cost and time effective manner.
Qualifications
* Manage and analyze international on-time performance inbound into DSG DCs, review shipments in transit, and ensure service provider SLA requirements are met.
* Partner with 3PL to monitor and manage exceptions as they arise. Monitor and resolve EDI transmission exceptions between 3PL and DSG. Partner internally with the IT group to leverage reporting where applicable.
* Provide internal customer support to Import Finance, Product Development, Merchandising, and A/R. This is specific to daily tracking, expedited shipments, product launchs, freight cost analysis and invoice approval.
* Issue and monitor quarterly scorecards for intl logistics service providers.
Education: Bachelors Degree focus in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain.
Experience: 1 3 Years Knowledge of the transportation industry
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills:
* General knowledge and appreciation of Global Supply Chain terminology
* Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analysis
* Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills
* Strong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in Global transportation carriers and services

The Story begins ...
DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother’s house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened.
Dick’s grandmother asked how much it would cost to build the store himself. Dick said it would cost $300. His grandmother then went to the cookie jar where she kept her life savings and gave him $300 and told him “do it yourself.” Dick used that money and his relentless work-ethic to open a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. By the late 1970's, he expanded his product line to include much of what you’ll find at DICK’S Sporting Goods today.
