The Customer Success Manager (CSM) is responsible for ensuring the overall success for VMware, Security Business Unit's growing customer base. As a member of the Customer Success team, your primary focus is to own consistent customer engagement through quarterly cadence calls, developed success plans and executive business reviews for your designated accounts, mainly small and medium-sized businesses. The CSM should be adept at developing a consultative relationship with key decisions makers within assigned accounts and further elevating executive relationships.

What Youll Do

* Responsible for overall customer success and health for a portfolio of VMware, Security Business Unit's commercial sized customers, ensuring that customers achieve a target security posture and get maximum value out of the products
* Partners with the Renewals Team to help ensure successful quarterly/yearly renewal goals
* Partners with the Regional and Inside Sales Representatives to discover, collaborate and close new and add-on business within the portfolio of accounts
* Reviews health dashboard and performs a strong Customer Operating Rhythm for maintaining the customers investment
* Collaborates with the support and engineering teams to ensure that customers are healthy in their use of the products and any issues are addressed in a timely manner
* Guides, positions and supports VMware, Security Business Unit Services Team in successful customer projects
* Coordinates customer participation in User Groups, Advisory Boards or other VMware, Security Business Unit related events, as well as reference calls and case studies
* Assists VMware, Security Business Unit's marketing by encouraging customers to appear in related marketing materials/events including but not limited to, customer reference calls, whitepapers, magazine quotes/articles, speaking at conferences

What Youll Bring

* Bachelors degree from four year college
* 3- 5+ years client management experience in enterprise software
* Demonstrated sales acumen through previous employment, including proven success owning renewal business
* Passionate about customer success
* Ability to coordinate cross functionally and balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the organization
* Demonstrated track record in adjusting messaging for all levels and sizes of organizations that maps directly to the customer's needs
