Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Production Clerk is responsible for: ensuring that all medication meets quality control standards; medications are properly labeled, stored and stocked; visually inspecting patient-bound medications for any defects, spills or quality concerns and reporting any concerns or issues promptly.

ROTATING SCHEDULE

Week 1: Sunday - Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Week 2: Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Ensure each package receives the correct paperwork, envelopes, medications, packing and or shipping labels before sealing and sending packages to patients.

* Accurately package prescriptions requiring special handling according to specific process and policy requirements. Ensuring address prints correctly and bags are correctly sealed.

* Work collaboratively with all co workers to ensure that best-practices are shared while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

* Keep work station clean at all times

* Unload cooler bundles and other supplies from tractor trailers and deliver to production area, r reload ice carts and restock supply for production

* Load shipments onto trucks multiple times per shift so orders ship in timely fashion

* Pull and pack orders according to order ticket paying attention to items needing special instructions

* Manifest cartons using carrier manifest stations and verifying the carton label to the pick-ticket

* Stack and shrink wrap cartons to specific skids by carrier ship level

* Use warehouse equipment, pallet jack, manifest machines, computer system

* Restock pack stations with shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, paper, air pillows, etc.) return totes and carts to proper areas

* Other duties assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* Experience in a warehouse/distribution setting preferred

* Ability to lift about 40 lbs. throughout shift

* General computer skills.

* Good visual acuity and ability to read, compare and differentiate data.

* Ability to read, write and type English

* Ability to stare/review small medications or bottles for long periods of time.

* Ability and willingness to work required overtime with little to no notice

* Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift
