This position is to lead the QA testing for our latest integration and scalability projects for the Portfolio Account Credit and Risk Technology Team(s).

What you are good at

* Lead Function/Performance/Regression Test Automation.
* Negotiate overall product quality standards with Schwab's business and development teams and participating in technical governance.
* Defining and executing both the project and release level Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases/ Scripts which span across multiple teams.
* Coordinate test execution with external vendors according to CES standards.
* Collaborating with agile teams to research, investigate, implement, and train other QA Testing Resources in Agile Testing Practices, Test Driven Development, Testing Automation, and managing Testing Metrics for publication to Upper Management.
* Lead project/product-based testing efforts across applications (including End to End Test efforts).
* Escalate any testing-related issues to responsible stakeholders. Compose and manage integrated project plans, testing schedules, and metrics with assigned Product Teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters and releasing status updates to all levels of Schwab management.
* Testing activities, participating in Requirements Ambiguity, & Use Case/ User Story Reviews, conducting QA analysis.
* Working cross-organizationally both within Schwab and with external vendors, both on and offshore to define environmental requirements.
* Drive innovative testing solutions within a complex, Enterprise Platform.

What you have

* Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
* Experience working in an Agile development Environment. The role requires the employee to work on a SCRUM team, which is the process used to manage the software development process. iterative development processes and collaboration Tools (JIRA, Confluence) is essential.
* Experience with CI/CD tools. The software development teams use continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) methodology. The role requires the employee to support the software application testing and release process using CI/CD tools (BitBucket/Bamboo/Splunk).
* Experience with Automated Testing Frameworks. The role includes the development, execution and maintenance of automated tests; preferably those developed using test-first techniques. These tests are used to efficiently and effectively test complex applications.
* Experience with Financial Services or Brokerage industry. The role involves working with complex trading applications. Understanding trading is very important when developing test use cases and working the business on developing overall test strategies to support new trading features and enhancements to existing applications.
* Experience with Tools to test API Web Services. The role requires the use of tools to test API web services and infrastructure. Experience using tools or APIs to test web services and infrastructure (for example: SOATest, SOAPUI, JMeter)
* Experience with leading more junior team members to write effective and maintainable test code.
* Experience working with team member at different Geographic locations. The role includes working with Offshore and Onshore team members (multiple sites). Requires experience and skills to work with resources in different geographic locations.
* Hands on experience with Server Configuration Management. The role includes of supporting the servers in the QA and pre-prod environments. Including release and configuration management of these environments.
* Experience with Developing or influencing the development of an Automated Framework. The role includes the development or working with the engineers on the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing.
* Experience End-to-end Integration testing. The role involves End-to-end/integration testing with multiple domains/organizations and backend legacy systems.
* Ability to Think out-side the box. The role involves thinking outside the box and come up with creative solutions when tools dont work.
