Process Science & Technology (PS&T) develops manufacturing platforms to enable current and new product formats, increased product control, lower cost, and lower operational complexity. The PS&T organization works to accelerate the development and implementation of novel technologies to CTDO for integration into existing drug product platform processes.

This role will build and lead a world class organization to design, develop, implement novel manufacturing processes and technologies to differentiate BMS cell & gene therapy products from other cell therapy companies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and oversee multiple teams responsible for process development, authoring regulatory filings (BLA, MAA, JNDA) for 8-10 clinical and commercial engineered T-cell products.
* Evaluate and develop new technologies to define target product profiles, and develop novel therapies to produce cell therapies more efficiently.
* Develop novel technologies and integrate technologies into manufacturing and testing platforms for testing in clinical trials.
* Attract, hire, manage and develop world class scientific, technical and engineering talent and create and environment where they can thrive. Lead end-to-end process science and technology organization with >50 FTEs and contractors.
* Serve as PS&T site head in Warren, NJ. Ensure strong collaboration between PS&T and manufacturing, supply chain and mentor program teams, as appropriate.
* Drive innovation, generate IP and establish seamless interfaces and strong partnerships between Clinical, CTDO, and Research & Early Development.

Essential Skills and Experience

* PhD, Bioprocess Engineering, Biological Engineering, or similar >15 years (>20 years for Executive Director) of experiences in the development and approval of biologics or cell & gene therapy products.
* Preferred previous experience with regulatory filings of immunotherapy products.
* Strong leadership experience, motivating both scientists and engineers to unleash their potential
* Experience with FDA and EMA regulatory processes and experience with regulatory filings and agency interactions.
* Highly analytical expertise.
* Ensure transparency and collaboration between LT colleagues, global key stakeholder organizations and its business partners
* Strong, effective communicator; ability to influence and lead others
