Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Heath, OH.
Position Responsibilities:
* Follows established preventive maintenance program to repair and maintain plant and office facilities.
* Supports internal customers by responding to repair calls and resolving problems using appropriate equipment and procedures.
* Monitors and maintain Clean Work Areas (CWAs) and clean rooms within required cleanliness standards.
* Performs facilities construction, maintenance and repair tasks related to HVAC and other plant infrastructure equipment.
* Completes installations and repairs that may involve such skills as electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing.
* Uses assorted tools and equipment to maintain facilities.
* Complies with safety, building, security and environmental codes and regulations.
* Under direct supervision, performs construction support such as general set-up, supply delivery and cleanup.
* Under direct supervision, provides basic support in response to trouble calls and becomes knowledgeable of customer service concepts.
* Under direct supervision performs basic repair and maintenance of off-line equipment.
* Under direct supervision, uses hand tools in a variety of support functions.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
* Ability to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* HVAC or Maintenance certification from accredited technical school or equivalent training/education.
* Experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) field performing trouble shooting, maintaining & repairing equipment.
* Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
