Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. In this highly dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving various reports and analyses that evaluate the performance of the company over many operational areas.

The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills and the ability to determine financial savings opportunities and project ROI by processing large amounts of data, such as transaction-level metrics or monthly GL data for retail stores by account (often more than 1 million rows of data). We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, ambitious Analyst to join our Finance Team.

Responsibilities of the position will focus on the following:

* Lead critical financial processes (comprehensive reporting and ROI analysis for various company-wide initiatives).

* Perform self-driven data gathering based on business inquiries, processing data either within MS Excel or MS Access, and conducting analyses to help drive profitability in the business.

* Prepare ad-hoc reporting that will go to management that will define and evaluate overall profitability and recommend solutions for improvement.

* Define requirements, identify data source, process a large amount of data efficiently, create reporting, and manage the delivery of a wide range of financial analyses in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

* Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics or another Quantitative field.

* 5 - 7 years of business experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.

* Technical Skills: proficient in Microsoft Office applications is required.

* Advanced skills in Excel, Proven financial modeling skills, Excel Macro and VBA; advanced skills in Access.

* Ability to use Tableau and SQL is preferred.

* Strong analytical skills; ability to learn rapidly about the business, retain the information and apply to various analyses.

* Willingness and ability to adjust to multiple tasks, shifting priorities and rapid changes.

* Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.

* Stellar communication skills (oral, written, and numerical). Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.

* Self-motivation, passion and extraordinary drive are highly desired.
