Summary:
Did you know that Baxters U.S. Hospital Products team manages more than 2,000 life-saving and life-sustaining products? Within US Hospital Products (USHP), we help our customers enhance their quality of care while reducing costs and increasing the ability to impact positive patient outcomes. Does that sound like a sales career that matters?
As the main point of contact for all aspects of the business in the account, the sales representative will be responsible for performing the complete range of USHP sales duties & account management for specific market segment within an assigned geographic territory.
Responsibilities:
* The sales representative will develop a strategy that will result in building market share management of the customer relationship.
* The sales representative will be responsible for an aggressive metrics driven growth quota, maximizing penetration, building market share & increasing profitability of USHP products which include solutions, sets, drug delivery nutrition, generic injectable, Repeater Pump, and Repeater Pump products.
* The complete range of duties include, but are not limited to, achievement of sales/GP budget, contract management, product introduction/detailing, pricing negotiation, problem resolution & product conversions.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Sales Effectiveness: Takes personal accountability for achieving results and has the ability to win at each stage of the customer's buying process and ultimately earn the business on the right terms and in the right timeframe through successful negotiation.
* Product Expertise: Fully understands and demonstrates product features and benefits and can articulate and influence this information appropriately to customers.
* Clinical/ Therapy Knowledge: Ability to learn and then to apply role-specific level of understanding of relevant specialty areas, therapies/surgical procedures, disease states and clinical data with our customers.
* Business Acumen: Understands business, industry and marketplace, including competition; strategically applies this knowledge effectively to achieve business ownership and goal achievement.
* Balances Stakeholders: Maintains current business and drives sustainable long-term sales growth with existing and new customers through teamwork with internal sales and business partners. Problem solves and owns customer issues, while ensuring all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information and resolution to enhance customer loyalty and revenue generation.
* Bachelors Degree required.
* 1-3 years sales experience.
* Medical/inside sales experience, clinical background desired.
* Exceptional oral & written communication skills & interpersonal skills a must.
* The ability to work in a matrix managed environment, strong organization, time management & computer skills essential.
* Must possess strong business acumen, be independently motivated, assertive & goal oriented.
