Key Responsibilities

General Profile: Manages professional employees and/or leads. Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own job family. Adapts business unit, department, site or sub-function plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business unit, department or sub-function plan; receives guidance from manager. Provides technical and operational guidance to employees, colleagues and/or internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

Provides oversight of FIB/TEM lab production and operation to meet internal output and fast turnaround commits. Ensure resource are trained and re-arranged as needed to meet production weekly variation. Work closely with field/service engineers from tool Vendor to ensure healthy of tools to meet daily production deadline Creates and executes improved systems and methodologies to increase efficiency and IP protection in the lab. Responsible for defining optimal workflow of TEM sample prep in the lab. Ensure SOP are created for all necessary step for lab operation. Works with key internal customers across Applied to optimize the lab capability to meet business needs including plans for high growth initiatives. Direct reports include FIB technicians that utilize technical skills and system automation to execute TEM sample prep at fast speed to meet 24 hours and redo metric. Provides leadership to team members to achieve goals. Works with business group engineers to ensure that samples have clear instruction and priority are aligned with the business units direction. Interfaces and coordinates with other staff members to define lab objectives, provide status updates, execution plans to implement lab improvement programs. Provides routine updates to Sr. management
