Collaborate with engineers and design teams in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards using PCB CAD applications and tools. Design silicon validation and test boards using the latest PCB fabrication technologies.

* At least 5 years of relevant PCB CAD layout experience
* Expertise using Cadence Allegro for multi-layer board layout
* Detailed knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and design rules



Description

Description

Print circuit board design and layout, from early placement through routing and final rule checks. Release printed circuit board databases for manufacturing and support all vendor questions related to design issues. Perform complex and difficult CAD and CAE tasks requiring extensive skill and knowledge of equipment capabilities, applications techniques and design limitations. Understand Apples design standards for manufacturing and test. Understand the requirements for a quality design and strive to achieve the requirements before releasing the product to manufacturing. Understand the driving PCB technology and process trends and their application to Apples designs. Maintain technical coordination with Engineering, Products Design, Test, EMC Engineering and Manufacturing. Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors. Participate and provide input into the PCB design specifications and standards with respect to product design, electrical design, manufacturing and regulatory agency requirements to determine design trade-offs necessary to meet design goals and produce high quality PCB's at the lowest cost and within schedule.

BS / MS / PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required
