Job Description

The Role:

Must have deep working knowledge of the relational database engines like MySQL, Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle.
Must have experience in data modeling and analysis, especially with distinctive data sources
As an engineering manager, you’ll be responsible for technical direction, implementation and execution of the data-analytics platform
You’ll partner closely with product management & product designers to craft and evolve the vision, mission, and strategy on team projects
Leads and monitors technical design, development, deployment, and support activities, while communicating and adhering to established procedures, processes and timelines
Implement effective project logistics that emphasize quality and drive progress
Validates quality objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and existing systems architecture are documented
You'll create and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing and interviewing

Qualifications:

5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years of experience building and leading teams
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and software delivery process
Must have experience in data modeling and analysis, especially with distinctive data sources
Must have experience building ETL/data processing pipelines.
Must have deep working knowledge of the relational database engines like MySQL, Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle.
Experience working with product, design, business and leadership in setting the long term strategic direction for team and products.
Good interpersonal and technical communication skills
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects 
Relentlessly high standards (never satisfied with the status quo) 
Able to dive deep, never out of touch with the details of the business
BS degree in Computer Science or closely associated field, MS or PhD are preferred
