Job Description

The Lead Development & QA Engineer will embody GM behaviors and competencies and be proficient in understanding embedded development environments and be able to actively code. They will technically lead the team and work with other teams while building strong relationships. The Lead is passionate about software development and its quality. The Lead Development & QA Engineer should be familiar with tools in Android and embedded application software. They need to be nimble to change as we adopt agile methodologies in the software organization. The candidate will be able to envision and design custom test frameworks using latest cutting-edge technologies

Job Duties:

* Lead and generate technical test solutions for infotainment software components for all new and major programs

* Technically lead team in debugging test issues and support software development team in solutions to the issues found

* Create innovative test solutions to ensure maximum test coverage with more focus on automation

* Eager to learn new technologies and implement findings in the day to day activities

* Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead Warren DEVQA efforts

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree

* Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

* Minimum of 3 years of Infotainment Systems experience

* Minimum of 2 years Android experience

* Actively working as a SME within development and/or QA team

* Demonstrated experience with languages: C/C++, Java and Kotlin, Perl or Python, Windows and Unix shell scripts

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced engineering degree

* 6+ years of experience testing software applications, specifically Infotainment

* Experience infotainment automotive diagnostic

* Understanding of automotive protocols like CAN/LIN/Broad R Reach

* Understanding of tools to capture and analyze automotive communication

* Previous test experience with real-time or embedded applications

* Good operating system knowledge of Android

* Experience with Expresso/UI automator testing framework

* Experience working on global teams
