Job Description

This Risk Officer role in the Chief Data Governance Office (CDGO) will play a key part in in the data transformation and data governance relating to both the Data Management and Risk & Controls workstreams in response to the recent Consent Order.

This transformation work is critical and will require an individual who is able to drive change and support the Data Governance Office in the re-engineering of the data control framework for the enterprise. In addition, the adoption of the control framework across the enterprise and monitoring for adherence.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for managing and supporting multiple risk and control programs for the organization including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.
* Works closely with control and business partners on findings and makes recommendations on corrective action plans to improving practices.
* Manage and participate in various regulatory and strategic initiatives, focused on ensuring regulatory compliance and strengthening control processes
* Develops procedural implementation, controls and change management process with appropriate teams to ensure proper governance and controls exist.
* Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations in addition to impacts on customer experience.
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years experience in Risk & Controls, preferably in financial services; Experience managing large projects in complex operational environments. Solid team building and Leadership track record
* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization. Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions. Proven track record and accountability in making quick decision that have an immediate impact on business financials.
* Excellent communication skills required in order to facilitate reviews with senior stakeholders and control partners.
* Effective organizational influencing skills required.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.

Education:

Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
