Our TSG Operations team supports critical infrastructure for core business applications. We deliver capacity to support existing and new business activity, while owning and governing enterprise demand and capacity management standards, policies, processes, operating models, and tools. Our team provides 24x7x365 support for incidents, changes, and requests for key services including: Data Center Operations; Global File Transfer; Batch and Mainframe Operations; Global Data Center Strategy; planning/governing infrastructure disaster recovery services, playbook and TSG Business Continuity Plans.

The Role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Operations Principal Engineer - Batch Scheduling and File Transfer

You will be responsible for critical Production batch engineering, programming, builds and modification. You will have full understanding of Mainframe and Distributed batch processing, and knowledge with CA Workload Automation ESP edition: Job Scheduling, Calendar Maintenance, Special Day processing, REXX programming.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deployment and support of Control-M (BMC) and Workload Automation ESP (Broadcom) scheduling products
t
* Product customization tasks spanning Linux, Windows and z/OS operating systems
t
* Development of new and modification of existing automation and reporting routines
t
* Capability and product evaluations leading into management of large-scale enterprise migration programs as part of modernizing BNY Mellons batch and file transfer processing capabilities
t
* Application Specific Job Schedule Builds, Modifications and Operational Simulations.
t
* Consultation services for Application Support with respect to the build requirements and scheduling flow of the Batch Cycle.
t
* Mainframe and Distributed Scheduling for targeted Test and all Production Scheduling Support across all environments.
t
* UNIX/ WINDOWS/ CLOUD Server Agent definition and consultation services.
t
* Quarterly Audit requirements and attestation (Internal and External).
t
* ESP testing/implementation of systemic infrastructure updates/ product enhancements.
t
* Incident and Problem management.
t
* DR planning and support.
t
* Maintain ESP, ESP agents, adding/deleting agents and staying current on Agent updates
t
* Create forecast, history & audit reports
t
* Support Production Control / Apps Support and Development Groups
t
* Remain current on updates from Broadcom; for example, updates to the ESP functionality (e.g., ESP; ESP agents)
t
* Troubleshoot and provide solutions to the scheduling conflicts
t
* Diagnose, isolate and de-bugs scheduling problems
t
* Plans and executes disaster recovery procedures
t
* Performs batch audits
t
* Support Production Control / Apps Support and Development Groups

Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for complex software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Advises specialists on areas to focus installation and support efforts. Works with the Senior Principal to ensure operations are consistent with LOB and organization wide goals. Identifies and solves highly complex and critical systems related issues to meet the objectives for the corporation. Participates in software strategic planning and consulting on platform selection, version implementation, software product recommendation, and usage of enhanced functionality. Tracks installations, modifications, and support efforts to ensure goals are being met. Implements, integrates and provides support for middleware software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment, dealing with development projects that have a broad impact across the organization. Provides consulting expertise in identifying and solving highly-critical middleware issues and serves as a resource on middleware issues related to policies and standards that impact middleware specialist and application support staffs across the corporation. Communicates with internal and external system users to address concerns and make sure that technical issues are dealt with appropriately. Manages ticket queues and handles highly complex escalated issues. Analyzes repeat incident patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancements. Manages relationships with vendors and works with them to ensure efficient incident resolution. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Responsible for budget activity MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred 10 - 12 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

* Scheduling / Batch monitoring via Workload Automation - ESP Series(or similar product), z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, Encore, Microsoft Office, Service Now, Remedy, Unix/Windows OS knowledge, Shell scripting knowledge
