Xerox Corporation in Webster, New York has three (3) immediate openings for a Welder III. Currently looking for:

* B Shift (2:30PM - 11:00PM), Monday - Friday)
* Shift differential will be paid for B Shift

The purpose of this job description is to serve only as a basis for evaluating the job.

Primary Job Function: To perform all types of welding operations to assure the weld quality required for various joint designs and welding in all positions to achieve the maximum weld strength, weld appearance and weld soundness to produce a finished weldment. Utilize advanced technology as introduced in the weld area. Materials used are primarily Group I and Group IV alloys including aluminum, magnesium, hot and cold rolled steels, stainless steel, galvanized material and chromized material. Copper silicon alloys, mild steel filler rods, stainless steel filler wires, aluminum filler wires and silver brazed materials.

Tools and Equipment: Operating a MIG welder, a TIG welder, Oxy-Acetylene welding and cutting, Plasma cutter. Using hand tools including hand grinders, files, static balanced and motorized positioners. Inspecting gages such as micrometers, Verniers, plug gages, special gages and scale checks.

Job Duties:

* * * * * * * * * Maintains housekeeping and observes safety rules and practices.
* Maintain welding equipment, torches, tungstens, welder cables and water lines, consumables.

* Other protective clothing based on job assignment/duties

* Industrial Workforce (Union) Position
* Pay Rate: $19.50/hr. (Shift Premium: $.60/hr. B Shift)
