Reporting to the SVP, Head of Product Marketing for OptumHealth, the SVP, Head of Marketing for Optum Financial will serve as a key leader for both the Product Marketing team and the Financial Services business. In concert with business line leadership and marketing colleagues, this role will lead a team of product marketers in the development of fully-integrated, omni-channel, go-to-market strategies and campaigns that will drive meaningful results for the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Leads the development of an overall marketing strategy that will drive profitable growth of Optum Financial
* Working with business partners, gain a thorough understanding of the drivers of Optum Financial's lines of business; understand its P&L, its strategic goals, and successfully lead the team to support the growth of the business
* Partner with Optum Financial's business leaders to develop and execute strategic, fully-integrated, omni-channel marketing plans and programs that directly support the business's growth agenda specifically focused on:
* Deliver differentiated payment capabilities
* Build an integrated provider banking ecosystem with a unified value proposition that supports provider banking and lending
* Focus on platform consolidation in Health Benefit Account business
* Enter new markets or extend our market positions and accelerate growth
* Provide strategic and tactical support to package, position and promote innovative capabilities that differentiate Optum Financial from competitors in all markets
* Facilitate a collaborative process to ensure marketing strategies are aligned, prioritized, and focused on the greatest opportunities to drive engagement and profitable growth
* Develop and/or support differentiated and compelling value propositions for the Financial Services product suite that clearly articulates the unique benefits to target audiences; guide future offerings to strengthen our value proposition and expand market share
* Drive the annual and quarterly integrated product marketing planning process for the Financial Services product suite
* Proactively assume responsibility for leading and executing on strategic initiatives and projects, responding to requests, and serving as a key contact for Optum Financial and Product Marketing
* Advance the Product Marketing analytical agenda delivering on KPIs (financial, engagement, etc.) for all marketing initiatives; develop and optimize A/B testing strategies to assess marketing impact; ensure necessary reporting is in place to track and measure activity, engagement, and financial metrics
* Develop and manage the appropriate level of resource investment to meet campaign objectives, goals and budget; accountable for driving to target outcomes within identified budget
* Drive alignment across OptumHealth business units and shared service partners to create better coordination with business partners across Optum, UHG and related functional areas

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* Proven success (12+ years) as a data-centric, business-minded, highly strategic product or line of business marketing executive, including 5+ years of consumer marketing
* Demonstrable track record of leading teams in the development of fully-integrated, omni-channel business-building strategies and campaigns
* Serves as a strategic partner to line of business leadership; brings gravitas in successfully working with strong executive leaders with a distinctive point of view; mature, can push back appropriately and manage expectations
* Demonstrates a consistent ability to take information and make it actionable; react to market trends, opportunities, and threats; leverages data to drive thinking/strategies
* Couples very strong consumer marketing with substantive experience partnering with sales teams; demonstrated understanding of B2B marketing dynamics
* Entrepreneurial orientation adept at solving unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
* Demonstrates superior intellectual capacity and sound judgment to lead in a changing and ambiguous environment; comfortable working in a complex, highly-matrixed organization
* Experience in effectively leading, supervising and developing staff in ways that strengthen team effectiveness and efficiencies
* Highly-organized and disciplined project management and leadership skills to balance multiple projects with varying priority, as well as ensure project stakeholder accountability, collaboration and timely completion of work
* Sound business and creative judgment; executive presence with presentation, influence and execution skills
* Team player with a positive, can-do attitude; able to roll up sleeves as well as operate at strategic level
* Superior written and verbal presentation skills
* High level of energy and passion for marketing
* Strong character, highly intelligent, fiercely loyal, sense of humor

Preferred Qualifications:

* Consumer financial services (e.g. credit cards) marketing experience
* Partnership and B2B Marketing
* Master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $169,500 to $322,500.
