About This Job:
The Senior Manager, RFP Group-North America oversees the firms US-based team of RFP editors and RFP specialists whose primary responsibility is the timely delivery of high-quality proposals and due diligence questionnaires to U.S. Intermediaries (USI) and Americas prospects and clients. This role directs all aspects of the RFP process including adherence to editorial standards within North America and alignment with regional peers to sustain a world class service model. This role advocates on behalf of the underlying teams, gaining industry knowledge, familiarity with regional distribution business strategies including distribution structure and product and vehicle priorities. This role ensures overall service plan continuity by addressing Subject-Matter Expert (SME) and stakeholder issues and identifying industry and distribution trends for input into the business planning cycle. This role will report directly to the Head of Investment & Product Content (IPC) and will be a member of the IPC Lead Team.
Role Summary:
Provides leadership and direction through managers and sizable teams of professionals. Is accountable for the performance and results of a larger department and/or multiple departments. Develops and executes strategy to achieve key business objectives defined in collaboration with senior management. Decisions are guided by department and business unit strategy and objectives with results assessed with a near-term and long-term perspective. Directs a large team of professionals and/or managers responsible for request for proposal team resources across multiple business units to sustain a world-class service model. Makes recommendations for the strategic vision of the request for proposal teams.
Responsibilities:
Develops processes to ensures proposal drafts and overall response processes are of high standards and fit with the long-term strategy of the firm. Works with leadership to develop and implement strategy and ensure compatibility with the T. Rowe Price's strategy. Uses extensive knowledge within the sales staff to answer questions regarding firm capabilities and offerings. Works closely with relationship managers and product teams to understand and craft solutions for clients based on their proposal requests. Implements policies and best practices to guide proposal development. Works directly with large and complex clients and relationship managers to clarify proposal requirements and craft T. Rowe Price solutions that fit the client's needs. May participate in proposal or proposal content production at all complexity levels. Oversees legal/business reviews for all potential projects and gives the final go/no-go decisions. Anticipates and resolves any compliance, legal, or regulatory review required for response based on in depth study of the industry and its trends. Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff/management team, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to build and sustain a team culture of efficiency and quality. Accountable for the financial and human resources of a large department/multiple departments to include budgeting, staffing resources, etc.

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 8+ years of total relevant work experience and 2+ years of management experience.
