We will be looking to you to support the Global Privacy Team assisting with global privacy and data governance processes related to money transfer, payments, and business solutions. You will contribute to the global privacy program and report to the regional privacy counsel. As a Junior Privacy Professional for Western Union, you will support in researching privacy regulations; updating privacy and data protection policies; performing privacy risk assessments; and creating guidance materials for use by Western Union business colleagues. You will closely support Global Privacy Team colleagues to ensure enterprise-wide awareness of Western Union’s privacy program.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with global privacy regulations and experience in a consulting or in-house privacy role.  Candidates with general legal compliance experience and a strong desire to learn about data privacy would also be welcome. You will hold a bachelor’s degree and be eager to learn about the ever-evolving landscape of global privacy laws. A technical aptitude or familiarity with IT systems related to the privacy field would help you stand out from other candidates. You will have strong written and verbal communication and be comfortable interfacing directly with business colleagues.

As a guide, this role would suit someone with 1 to 3 years’ experience in a consulting or in-house privacy role, though all candidates who can demonstrate the relevant skillset will be considered.
