Basic Job Functions:
The Cold Finish and Wire Products Maintenance position will work closely with Maintenance and Operations personnel by providing technical expertise in developing and sustaining the Cold Finish and Wire Products sites. This shall include predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for heavy use industrial equipment.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Prior experience with, or understanding/knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and power transmission systems.
* Willing/able to meet the physical work requirements, and perform the essential functions of the job, including working at heights, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and scheduled and unscheduled overtime on short notice

* Welding and fabrication experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5-years experience in an industrial maintenance
* Crane maintenance experience, proven understanding of wire rope and lifting device inspections
* Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience
* Mechanical capacity to learn and work on plant industrial machinery
* Self-sufficient problem solver with great interpersonal skills
* Technical degree or technical certification
* Experience with any/all of the following: Rockwell PLCs and drives, Siemens PLCs and drives, Lenze drives, Safety PLC, etc.
