Business Analyst- Risk Platform (Consultant)

The Business Analyst - Risk Platform will be a key member of the Risk and Compliance project team and will lead in the analysis, assessment, process evaluations and rollout of News Corps compliance and vendor onboarding platform to News Corp Business Units.

* Experience writing requirements and use cases.
* Demonstrable, in-depth experience on numerous projects from inception to successful launch (complete solutions/project lifecycle).

* Demonstrable collaborative and problem solving skills. This includes active listening; formulating and expressing desired outcomes, identifying underlying interests and developing and analyzing their consequences.

* Ability to facilitate meetings with clients to determine and prioritize their business requirements and the impact of these requirements on existing applications and workflows.

* Possess experience with agile software development methodologies

* Communicate cross functionally with various departments via set up conference calls

* Work with internal teams to define the scope of the different targeted compliance activities along with impacted groups and identify and specify key business requirements from all above groups and define corresponding key high-level deliverables

* Assists in the workflow redesign and documentation as needed for new compliance questionnaires.

* Translates high-level business requirements requiring substantial amount of change into functional specifications for the development team and manages changes to identified specifications.

* Designs and tests new or revised instances to assist with the efficient implementation of new policies and procedures.

* For instances requiring substantial redesign, prepare use cases detailing out the business flow for each requirement.

* Participates in the review of technical design to ensure functional scope is being met

* Demonstrates ownership in closure of assigned project activities and getting associated customer approvals for the deliverable.

* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts to independently validate the changes and support defect-free implementation of the changes to production environment.

* Analyst will be required to write the test plan and test scripts to ensure the correct items are tested, monitor testing progress and review results prior to implementation.

* Assist Project Manager with issue resolution by providing data analysis and special reporting requests

Qualifications

* Compliance and risk management experience are a big plus.
* Bachelors degree

* 3 years experience

* Excellent customer service and communication skills

* Strong Analytical Skills

* Detail oriented

* Excellent PC skills with ability to utilize MS Excel and Access

* Ability to organize and plan multiple projects

* Ability to demonstrate self-initiative, work cross functionally to resolve issues as they occur
