Job Summary

The NetApp Public Cloud Services business unit is leading customers to the public cloud and invested in bringing the transformational benefits of cloud to existing and new customers. As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical information to customers, sales teams, and partners. You will work with our Cloud Volume Service for Google, Azure NetApp Files, and Kubernetes offerings, helping customers leverage NetApp for traditional and cloud native workloads.

Job Requirements

* Develop and author technical collateral for your products that cover best practices, application design patterns relevant to your product, performance benchmarks, and any other appropriate technical documentation. Content may include design guides, product documentation, and technical reports.

Collaborate with ISVs and public cloud teams to develop partner integrations that highlight your product areas. Efforts and results may include designing the integration, validating the joint solution, and documenting as solutions or reference architectures.

Establishing yourself as a Subject Matter Expert in specific technologies across departments solving difficult technical problems without management assistance and will continue to build your expertise with continued internal and external education. You will identify gaps in product/process and make proactive suggestions for improvement.

Evangelize products and solutions to customers and industry audiences, from small to large forums.

Create and present technical presentations to customers and partners and gather feedback to influence product and solution offerings.

Working closely with product management, helping assess and define the roadmap.

Test our products and solutions in a hands-on manner (not paper evaluation) for usability, performance, and customer fit resulting in Technical Reports

Requirements

Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications.

Proven customer facing ability to describe technical concepts, deliver clear and concise demos, and define solutions to customer pain points. Experience presenting technical content in a variety of settings and scale is required.

Ability to operate effectively and independently in a lab environment, deploy software in Linux/Windows environments, configure networking and virtualization technologies to build test and simulation environments for Cloud Volumes with third party solutions.

Ability to drive and collaborate with development teams to create configuration management modules and other automation software for a variety of platforms.

Solid understanding of Azure or Google Cloud, automation tooling (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes), and at least one workload area (such as DevOps, EDA, VDI, or AI/ML).

Hands on experience with multiple Linux variants and the ability to develop moderate to complex scripts

Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Problem solve difficult technical problems within the scope of the project and occasionally business unit related projects, without management assistance

Experience with commercial, open-source, or cloud storage solutions preferred.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree, 3 years and a Masters degree, or equivalent work experience.
