JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Specialist will handle day to day accounts receivable procedures, electronic file transmittals, cash applications, reconciliations of client invoices, and corresponds with clients as needed or required.
Responsibilities Include:
AR Administration
* Performs various business tasks, including data entry, creating spreadsheets, communicating invoice related issues to management and resolving customer accounts receivable and payment problems as they relate to invoicing
* Generates and manages the accounts receivable aging report, to include regular follow-ups on outstanding AR
* Prepares, reviews & submits electronic payment data thru specific data transmission methods accurately and on a timely basis
* Posts invoice payments received by client to MSBs AR database in the collection system and updates appropriate tracking logs to reflect payment receipt on those balances
* Prepare End of Day posting balancing
* Effectively & professionally communicates with clients & staff at all levels
* Establishes, maintains and manages relationships with clients and their accounts in a timely and accurate fashion
* Participates in month end closing
* Responsible for cash applications and reporting
* Invoice and payment submittal reconciliations
* May assist with invoicing and invoice corrections, as assigned
* Cash management and related treasury functions.
* Complete GL reconciliations related to AR
* Other related duties as assigned
* Process overpayment checks, client check corrections, and positive pay
Financial Reconciliation
* Prepare CSC Daily Reconciliation and Deposits
* Reconciliation of daily system revenue to the bank activity and to third party credit card merchant processing company
* Reconciliation of the CSRs daily activity including researching and documenting variances.
* Tracking and reconciling customer refunds, chargebacks and debits.

Other Administrative Duties as Required:
* Assist with retailers collection calls.
* Research, document, and explain bank variances
* Respond to Merchant inquiries and disputed for credit card payments.
Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance OR additional equivalent experience above the required minimum.
* 1-3 years of accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and merchant reconciliation experience OR additional equivalent education above the required minimum.
* Proficient in MS office with advanced Excel
* Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
* Engaging team player / Thinks outside the box
* Problem analysis and problem resolution
* Demonstrated analytical skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Able to adapt very quickly and positively to change
* Flexibility on scheduling required
* Knowledge of data transmission methods
* Able to adapt quickly to computer systems
* Knowledge of general accounting principles
* Able to use general office machines to include scanner, fax & 10-key, etc.
* Proficient Communicator
This position will be temporarily remote until it is safe to return to our office. Computer equipment will be provided but applicants must also meet the below technical requirements:
* A private workspace or home office
* Reliable, high speed internet at home (Minimum 10MB upload/download speed)
* Capability to use an ethernet cord and be hard wired into your server from the router/modem.
