JOB DESCRIPTION

In SMC, we are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence - combining a successful project management background with a willingness to complement his/her experience with executive exposure. In this role, you will be responsible for running the SMC Rhythm of the Business, driving high impact interactions between the headquarters team and Microsoft's field organization, ensuring high value engagement while constantly looking for opportunities to simplify and streamline operational processes.

This position leads & coordinates insights/discussions with senior Business leaders and influences thinking around driving execution in the future. The successful candidate will be a person with strong business curiosity, good collaboration, attention to details, outstanding business acumen, and demonstrated project management skills, who thrives in a dynamic, exciting, and fast paced business environment.

This role requires the ability to think at a programmatic level and be able to effectively drive processes and consistency across the business to impact business outcomes. The individual needs to be comfortable working with and engaging with the senior leaders and managing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment. The role will be critical in providing business insights and actionable feedback from the field teams to SMC leadership. The candidate is expected to be a self-starter with start-up attitude, who can navigate complex business scenarios, flourish in ambiguous environments, and generate clarity through structured thinking and clear communication.

A key success factor for the role will be the ability to effectively partner across Microsoft, defining role priorities, orchestration, sales process and provide input to our sales tools and reporting engines.

Rhythm of Business (RoB)

* Manage SMC RoB calendar, orchestrating and aligning workback schedules, key dates, and milestones for the organization to ensure quality conversations and high impact connections
* Lead the SMC Field Connection Calls on a quarterly basis, working with both field and headquarters key stakeholders on content development and ensuring the discussions align to the overall SMC priorities and mission
* Support the SMC Quarterly Business Update (QBU) process with the SMC leadership team to review business performance and highlight opportunities and challenges
* Enable SMC participation in the field Quarterly Business Connection (QBC) with necessary preparation meetings and pre-read materials to drive one version of the truth on key cross-subsidiary priorities
* Own the RoB strategy for SMC, ensuring the smooth, simple and efficient process to land priorities, surface feedback, and drive business growth
* Seek out and develop a process to capture and share best practices across the Digital Sales and field organization
* Promote a culture of constant improvement and feedback

Field Content Platform

* Engage with SMC worldwide planning team to launch fiscal year content on SMCpedia, our global communications platform / intranet site
* Manage and support the field content platform (Modern SharePoint Site), working with developers and business stakeholders to land content and keep the site fresh and engaging
* Run quarterly content owner community calls for key roles across the organization
* Own the content calendar, content governance, vendor management, Usage and consumption metrics & report out

Required

* 5 years' experience with business management, marketing, project management or related field

Preferred

* Experience in driving cross-organizational efforts to influence others to improve and land operational processes enhance organizational productivity
* Knowledge of current Microsoft business rhythms and organization design
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
