Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for a position in Colorado Springs, CO.

-You will provide engineering support to the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) Contract.

-The MOSSAIC Contract provides sustainment services for current and future ground-based Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sensors, SSA Command and Control (C2) systems, and Space Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) capabilities for the Space and Missile Systems Centers Ground Based Space Surveillance Division.

In this dynamic role you will:

- Support the Radar Product Line Modification Project.

- Support the implementation of MOSSAIC -unique, Government-approved Plans and Processes utilizing the Agile development process.

- Perform Software engineering tasks on IBM Mainframe operating systems.

- Provide schedule inputs and estimates of effort required to complete development tasks and consolidate inputs into a single SW development schedule and provide inputs to the SE for input into JIRA/Sprint Planning.

- Perform lifecycle engineering of software applications applying traditional and object oriented methodologies to all aspects of engineering ( I.E. software requirements development, preliminary design, critical design, software code development, Data Flow diagrams/Class/Sequences.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the Agile Development Process.
Software engineering experience with IBM Mainframe operating systems.

Experience providing schedule inputs and estimates of effort required to complete development task and consolidate inputs into a single software development schedule.

Experience performing lifecycle engineering of software applications applying traditional and object oriented methodologies.

A minimum of five (5) years of IBM OS/370 or OS/390 JES2 systems programming, support and maintenance, troubleshooting and storage management.

Ability to modify and develop SW in IBM OS Assembler, FORTRAN 77, JCL.

Experience in IBM TCP/IP, TSP/ISPF, SDSF, JCL knowledge, RACF, SCLM.

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must

Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups

Must be able to work well in a team environment and work well with various levels of management

Strong attention to detail and must be able to work with minimal supervision

Desired Skills:
Experience performing code, data analysis, and document inspection to support definition of requirements and design.

Ability to develop software for new and legacy applications, including maintenance actions.

Conducting unit test, integration and test, document results and integrate software modules.

Be able to quickly read and understand code developed by others.
