Deploying from your current location, this opportunity as a technical leader, allows you to partner intimately with our team and customer as you provide critical technical advice, training, support, and leadership.
A Day in the Life:
This position will report technically to the Chief Engineer Lead and functionally to the Fighter Airworthiness Manager in Fort Worth. Joining our KF-X team, you will be embraced by a welcoming Korean people and become a part of an intimate group of production and engineering professionals all working together to make this amazing new Fighter reach its potential. Beyond that, you will experience living in a beautiful country known for its amazingly safe environment, comprehensive education at a local, international foreign school, high-tech lifestyle, and welcoming culture.
As a Technical Advisor, you will be overseeing multiple Airworthiness tasks simultaneously to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues and you will partner and serve as a trusted point of contact with the KAI engineering team.
Beyond that, you may also:
Provide training, guidance, support, and development assistance to KAI engineers
Provide feedback to KAI on airworthiness certification requirements, processes, implementation plans, criteria assessment approaches, and compliance documentation
Identify airworthiness certification risks and mitigation options, through coordination across engineering disciplines.
About You:
You have high proficiency in Airworthiness supporting aircraft design and a good working knowledge of related engineering disciplines that include aircraft subsystems, avionics, and components. You are dependable and well respected by your customers and thrive in an environment where you can help make everything run smoothly as a technical advisor.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualification are the skills that you must possess to be considered for this position:
Minimum 7 years of experience in supporting Airworthiness certification/flight certification of military aircraft
Bachelors degree from an accredited college
Experience with successfully mentoring and training engineers
Experience applying Airworthiness knowledge to assess aircraft design
US Citizen citizenship
Open to relocating to Korea with the ability to obtain a Korean VISA
Desired Skills:

Experience providing oversight to aircraft suppliers
Experience with new aircraft design and development
Familiar with military or government aircraft programs
