Responsible for operation of headlight grinder and preparation of product. 1.Examines each core to identify "Non Grind" items(which must be removed from each core). "Salvage" items (components, hardware, bulbs) are to be removed from each core then placed in the appropriate recycle bin.
2\. Assist in the light cleaning (metal removal) process.
3\. Responsible for quality control for assigned grinding process, making sure the finished product is free
From contaminants.(metal)
4\. Maintains orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.
5\. Complies with established company policies and procedures.
6\. Assumes other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. On the job training to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods to become familiar with the companys products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods and to attain proficiency requirement and to fully assume responsibilities of the job.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have a mechanical aptitude.
MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE: Must be able to perform Mandatory, Daily/Weekly equipment maintenance requirements. Maintenance training to be provided. Must be certified in Lock Out Tag Out procedures. Must be able to operate, but not limited to the following equipment; Grinding/Shredding, conveyors, Drills, Saws, Hand Tools (general) and the Fork Lift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruption and extreme weather conditions. Standing, stooping, lifting, etc. Must have no lifting restrictions. The noise level in the work environment is extremely to moderately loud. Will need to be able to wear protective gear.

•  2014 acquisition of Keystone Specialty, which expanded our product offering and increased our addressable market to include specialty vehicle aftermarket equipment and accessories.

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
