Job Description

The Multi-Asset & Portfolio Solutions teams develop and manage the discretionary product offerings of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Solutions platform, representing in excess of $300 billion in AUM. The Managed Solutions Support team within Asset & Wealth Management Managed Product Operations is looking to hire an Executive Direct (or an experienced Vice President), reporting to the Global Head of Managed Solutions Support to directly support the portfolio managers within Multi-Asset & Portfolio Solutions. This role will partner closely with multiple stakeholders focusing on the portfolio managers managing client assets on a discretionary basis as well operations teams, technology, risk management, compliance, and internal audit, among others supporting these solutions.

Key responsibilities include developing processes and procedures and driving global consistency as they are implemented to meet new and enhanced standards, along with ensuring appropriate controls, monitoring and reporting are in place. The candidate will also be accountable for building and leveraging a network of partners across Global Wealth Management to drive the overall success of the discretionary product agenda. To be successful, the selected candidate must have relevant product and investment knowledge and strong people management skills. The candidate will have a proven track record of process documentation and re-engineering and of providing timely, proactive support to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

* Building, maintaining and driver partnerships with key business stakeholders, including portfolio managers, business management, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology
* Provide value-added solutions to enable the business to swiftly realize new opportunities while proactively identifying and addressing issues that could impact portfolio managers efforts
* Management of a dedicated team and partnership with global counterparts
* Strategic planning and setting of priorities with business partners and technology
* Ensure the integrity of data such as trading positions through accurate trade capture, portfolio management, price reconciliations and query management
* Deliver an independent, robust and controlled environment that underpins the business activity
* Support new product development including operating model definition. Develop new processes and procedures and implement the appropriate compensating controls, monitoring and reporting
* Reengineer existing processes, locate and transfer proper ownership

Qualification(s):

* Candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience in some combination of managed account product operations, product management, or investments middle office management in the financial industry
* Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to bring drive, energy and enthusiasm to lead the team and collaborate across business areas.
* Solid understanding of portfolio management and discretionary account management
* Strong understanding of securities products (mutual funds, equities, fixed income, hedge funds, derivatives, etc.) and managed accounts including separately managed accounts and multi-asset solutions
* Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions.
* Experience managing teams that interact with multiple groups of stakeholders
* Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes
* Strong sense of accountability and ownership over Quality and end to end best practices around the quality assurance process
* Proactive control and risk management, addressing gaps in processes and escalating issues to benefit the business and clients in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to successfully navigate a complex infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals.
* A track record of driving strategic and tactical plans, including automation and process reengineering initiatives, with an ability to anticipate and overcome barriers.
* Series 99 or other relevant securities license required or must be obtained within 120 days of being hired
