Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Marketing + Communications Intern is responsible for assisting with internal communications to drive business performance by engaging employees with key information about our digital wealth business. Work will also include support of US Media Relations efforts to introduce the new business identify to the US asset management market, The Intern will work closely with the Head of Communications, and Invescos internal communications team to achieve business results.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
* Support the development and execution of a communications plan that drives employee understanding of business goals, strategic plan, and provides a call to action
* Assist with developing presentations for all-employee meetings
* Gather information for bi-weekly employee newsletter, transform into engaging newsletter copy, and manage production of electronic newsletter and distribution to employees
* Participate in development of intranet and creating/loading initial content
* Manage analytics and product sizzle report to demonstrate reach of internal communications
* Work with Invesco resources to ensure newsworth info is shared to Invesco employees via appropriate channels
* Support US Media Relations efforts during new brand rollout, working with leadership and Invesco US Media Relations team
Work Experience / Knowledge:
* Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
* Knowledge of Confluence and/or Slack, Hubspot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud software desirable
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
* Strong business communication writing and presentation development skills
* Rigorous attention to detail is essential
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to define key messages, develop a communication plan and execute in multiple channels such as intranet, email, social media, all-employee meetings
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
* Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in business communications, public relations, media relations, or related field
