Job Description Under the general direction of the OpCo President, the Safety Coordinator assists in the process of developing and communicating loss trends, monitors loss trends and the efforts to decrease them, and mitigates losses from worker injury and auto related incidents. The Safety Coordinator keeps track of required safety plans, audits, and training requirements and strives to ensure that plans and inspections are completed and up-to-date. The Safety Coordinator may enlist the assistance of other staff to complete these activities. The Safety Coordinator also assists in providing safety and training support and expertise to include successful onboarding and communication of PFG safety policies and procedures. Safety and training responsibilities include conducting incident investigations, presenting safety training modules, and ensuring incident reporting standards are completed timely.

Participates in the development of the employee Health and Safety Plan and Goals.

Led by the OpCo President, administers all established safety reports and programs in accordance with Corporate Safety Guidelines.

Under the direction of the supervisor, evaluates risk exposures and develops risk management action plans ulitmately decreaseing lost days from work and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) recordable incidents.

Conducts safety inspections and necessary environmental tests. May recommend preventative and corrective safety measures to company management; initiates action required to reduce/eliminate hazards and risks in the working environment. Assists in ensuring that plant operations are in compliance with mandated federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Recommends changes in company policies and procedures relative to health and safety issues; assists in the development and communication of company health and safety policies and procedures.

Prepares required reports in compliance with OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT) or other applicable regulations.

Audits safety procedures and training effectiveness on a regular basis. Establishes and implements health and safety training programs. Conducts respective personnel training sessions. Attends training programs to obtain and maintain professional certification.

Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Required Experience: 1 - 2 Years
Experience working in an administrative role and/or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Education: Associates/2-year technical
Human Resources, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related area

Preferred Experience: 2 - 4 Years
