Who you are:

As a IBM Cloud DevOps Storage SRE Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience to help drive IBM Cloud Storage project priority .Youll lead complex programs from initiation to delivery, and youll collaborate with the other engineering groups with Storage organization. This is a fast-paced, start-up environment where the successful candidate will wear many hats, and where your work will have a real impact. Youll be part of a bright engineering team that embraces open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and a shared focus on customer success

What youll do:

As a Development Manager, you will play a key role in the success of the IBM Cloud Infrastructure organization. Development Managers in this organization help with the design, building, and development of the software engineers in this squad.

As a Project Manager, you have to ensure that you are running scrum meetings, updating upper management of proper status, including velocity and any improvements the team can make. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for ensuring service framework and security compliance checklist to have the proper service requirements.

You will be asked to help with the support of the service by ensuring that the developers have the right training, education and proper tools to help solve any customer related issues.

To maintain competitive advantage, project managers must be able to work quickly and produce high-quality status and ensure that they are bridging any gaps between various dependencies as well as bringing the proper awareness to any blockers to upper management.

Working across tribes and other organizations is key, being able to speak on some technical pieces of the project is also key.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

* Excellent people and project management track record. Seasoned professional with hands on managing performance of the world class engineering team
* Automate health monitoring of the production and test systems
* Automate return to service procedures for Cloud Platform Components
* Support the compliance and security integrity of the environment through your work
* Partner with other teams, functional managers and program managers to deliver mission-critical services to the market
* Support development of new and existing capabilities for our compute, storage and network services
* Integrate automation with operational requirements
* Work with Engineering to:
* Define operational requirements
* Automate operational requirements
* Participate in the full deployment pipeline
* Work with Support and Development to:
* Identify and resolve issues
* Discuss and plan integration requirements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Minimum of 10 years experience in hands-on production administration of large system environments, including virtual platforms.

* 5+ years of experience in :
Data center infrastructure or relevant work experience,
large-scale infrastructure design, engineering, and support
IT Change, Incident, Problem, Asset management
infrastructure engineering with proven record for delivering high-quality, large-scale solutions. Experience designing architectures for scale and performance

* Must be efficient in writing, debugging and maintaining scripts (Bash and Python); using and navigating within a Linux environment, using Splunk or ELK

* Ability to do low level debugging and problem analysis by examining logs and running Unix commands

* 2-3 years of experience with open-source products

* 3-5 years of experience with configuration management systems (Ansible / Chef)

* Working knowledge with Network and Storage technologies, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes

* 4+ years of experience with GitHub, Perl and Python

* 5+ years of experience with configuration management systems (SaltStack/Ansible/Chef)

* 8+ years of experience in virtualization environments such as AWS /Softlayer/Zen/VMWARE
